Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro M Mechanical Keyboard Review

Introduction

Cooler Master is one of the best-known brands on the market today, offering up a huge range of chassis, power supplies, coolers and more. Of course, today we’re more interested in their peripherals, as we take a look at their new MasterKeys Pro M Mechanical Keyboard, which comes packed full of features that will appeal to a pretty varied market, from gamers to accountants.

“The MasterKeys Pro M Intelligent White keyboard delivers the brightest white LED backlighting with the best responsive
feeling that gamers have come to love. Get multiple lighting modes, on-the-fly macros, profile support, and CHERRY MX switches – all in a compact form factor design that saves you space without losing functionality. For those looking for a crisp, clearer white that an RGB keyboard cannot deliver, the MasterKeys Pro M Intelligent White is for you.” – Cooler Master

Equipped with Cherry MX switches, in a choice of all the most popular options (red, blue and green), full white LED backlighting, a powerful built-in CPU for snappy processing, and a whole lot more, the MasterKeys Pro M is certainly sounding like a well-rounded keyboard. Let’s grab the box and take a closer look at what this new keyboard has to offer.

  • Cherry MX Switch (Red/Blue/Brown)
  • Compact form factor
  • White LED Backlight
  • ARM Cortex M0 32bit CPU
  • F/W on-line update
  • Repeat rate Adjustment
  • On the Fly Macro key Recording
  • Win Lock
  • Multimedia Function
  • Minimalism ID Design
  • 1.5m Braided cable with gold plated connector
  • Top cover Matte Coating
  • Metal Plate Inside

The box is neat and tidy, with a nice and clear image the keyboard on the front, the switch type and language variant detailed, and no much else really.

Around the back, the international translations of the spec, as well as a cool breakdown image that shows you the layers of the keyboards construction. Check the next image down for a big version of that, it looks pretty cool!

Plastic housing, with a durable inner metal frame for the switch housing, so it should feel nice and sturdy.

In the box, you’ll find a detachable braided and gold-plated USB cable, a handy key cap pulling tool, as well as the usual documentation.
