Cooler Master MasterPulse Bass FX Headphones Review

Introduction

Cooler Master has reimagined their entire product catalogue over the last year or so, starting virtually from scratch with the design of every single chassis, keyboard, mouse, power supply and more. Now they’ve back again with their latest headphones, the MasterPulse, and while they do borrow from the design of their Pitch Pro headset in terms of the Bass FX technology, it would be a shame to see one of their coolest innovations go to waste had they not.

While many may want a big hulking gaming headset for their audio, that’s certainly not what everyone needs. The MasterPulse are not a gaming headset, they’re simply headphones that are designed to meet the growing demands of the mobile audio market. Equipped with powerful in-ear drivers, a compact in-line microphone for hands-free calls and voice controls, and promising durable build quality, they sound like the ideal headphones for those who enjoy their music, movies, and games on the go.

The packaging is nicely designed, keep with the newly designed and more professional looking style of the rest of the CM range and their “maker” series. There’s a good image of the headphones on the front of the box showing off the general design.

Around the back, a really cool teardown images showing the construction of the drivers and Bass FX tuning system, as well as the main specifications.

The box opens out, giving you a direct look at the headset, as well as showing how the Bass FX can change the acoustic properties of the drivers.

In the box, you’ll find a protective carry case, some small and large ear buds (medium size are pre-installed), warranty information, as well as a simple user guide.

The protective case is quite compact, but features a hard clamshell design that is sure to keep the MasterPulse nice and safe when stored away in your backpack, or anywhere else for that matter.

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
