As we already mentioned the TPC 800 has no fans provided. We used a couple of Reeven ColdWing 12 PWM fans with ours and obviously acoustic results will vary depending on how many fans you use and what type of fan you use.
Under load, because the temperatures were so tame, the fans never really had to spin up so noise levels were very low indeed, similar to the Dark Rock Pro 2 and totally inaudible.
With overclocking applied the TPC 800 was still very quiet mainly due to the fact its temperatures were low so the PWM controls had no reason to kick the RPMs up. Reeven fans aren’t the quietest available, so if you had chosen quieter fans you might end up with better acoustics but at 43 dBA the CPU cooler was so quiet that I couldn’t even hear it on an open air test bench let alone inside a case.
