Coolink Lapchilla Super-Quiet Laptop Cooler Review

Laptops and notebooks have become increasingly popular over the last few years as the designs and power have improved. However as the designs and aesthetics have recently improved, laptops on the whole have got thinner. Not only does this cause a problem for the manufacturer to fit everything in but it also causes problems for cooling, especially when we are demanding more and more power from every generation. This has always been a problem but is becoming more apparent as we are introducing dual, triple and quad cores into laptops. This may change in the long run with Sandy bridge and Fusion but this is not going to be instantly replacing all those laptops that some of us have grown up with. In fact, it’s going to be quite a while before manufacturers switch over to these new generation motherboards and processors with regards to high-powered laptops at least.

In the meantime, I’m still going be using my current laptop. My much loved Sony Vaio. This on the odd occasion does get quite hot, admittedly it is one of the colder laptops I have used but when you really push it it will increase in temperature pretty dramatically and due to the design there is only one way out for the heat. This means it is very limiting. Moreover, using this laptop to say watch a film or play a game while it is on your lap is not recommended. The heat will build up quite quickly and you will soon be juggling the laptop from knee to knee to try and stop your legs from burning. At this point in time I usually get a bit concerned about the laptops well being and turn it off to cool – or at least move to a desk to improve the air flow.

However, there is a product out there that can aid in this area. In fact, there are several but the one we are looking at today is the much coveted Coolink Lapchilla laptop cooler.
