Total build time on the 100R Silent was a very quick 12 minutes! This is one of the fastest build times I’ve had in a long while, although it’s hardly surprising, given the overall simplicity of this chassis. Cable routing was nice and easy, as you can see by the rather neat looking build below.
Four hard drive bays may not sound like a lot, but it’s more than enough for most people; even my personal rig only uses three bays. Our ADATA SSD installed easily enough onto the bottom drive tray.
The Sapphire 270X which has been used in this build quickly benefitted from the lack of a mid-storage bay. The 270X is a very long card, just keep in mind that you’re going to run into compatibility issues with the bottom drive bays if you attempted Crossfire/SLI; a shorter card design would be advisable.
As I said before, the PSU mounting area is more than capable of housing a larger PSU, as you can see with our Seasonic model here.
No obstructions to airflow in the top half of the chassis, although a 120mm AIO cooler for the CPU would certainly make a welcome addition to a chassis like this.
