Corsair Carbide Spec-Omega RGB Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Exterior

The Spec Omega is a unique looking beast, is a stance that sees the chassis lean forward at the front. Personally, I think it looks fantastic, and it’s a nice break from the often stock rectangles we see. Down the left side, a big chunk of tempered glass gives us a clear view of the interior too, and it’ll be a real gallery view to the RGB when we power up the system also.

Stance

Even the stance on the feet is strange, suspending the chassis in a way that gives it a cool floating look.

Even the top panel is getting its funky angle game on. There’s all kinds of weird shapes here, as well as a big chunk of ventilation.

It does look strange, but because it’s all strange, it kinda works really well and just looks futuristic and cool.

Front Window

The front panel has a few more angles to call its own. However, it also houses a stylish window on one side to show off your front lighting and fans. There’s some ventilation towards the bottom section too.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s an LED strip that runs up the front panel too, which you’ll see in action shortly. The main I/O is here also, with all the usual USB and audio ports you’ll be needing.

The right side panel is nothing fancy, just a blank black panel. However, it looks neat and tidy, but maybe a slightly raised section would keep the angular theme going. Then again, perhaps having one side that isn’t (purposely) wonky is what makes the rest work so well.

Around the Back

Around the back, it’s as you would expect. There’s a 120mm fan mount towards the top, with elongated mounts for height adjustment. Below that, you’ll find seven expansion slots, each fitted with a reusable metal cover for ease of use.
