CORSAIR Celebrates Ten Years of PSUs with Limited RM1000i Special Edition

Corsair is one of the leading hardware manufacturers in the world, and to celebrate the fact they’re entering their tenth year of manufacturing PSUs, as well as having sold their ten million PSU! They’re releasing a bit of a special edition of one of their most popular units.

“Over the past decade, CORSAIR has revolutionized the enthusiast PSU industry with an unrelenting commitment to product quality and innovation that has seen the PSU evolve from an after-thought into the high-quality heart of a modern PC. CORSAIR has championed a range of key features to push PC power supplies to new levels of performance, functionality and customization. Modular PSUs have made building PCs easier, Zero RPM fan mode allows the PSU’s fan to switch off entirely under low loads and with digitally controlled power and CORSAIR LINK PSU monitoring, users can find out exactly how their PSU is performing in an instant.”

From today, you will be able to pick up an extremely limited CORSAIR RM1000i Special Edition. Individually numbered, finished in striking arctic white and equipped with both a white LED-lit cooling fan and new individually sleeved white cables, only 100 of these PSUs will be built, giving enthusiasts a chance to own a unique piece of CORSAIR history.

Of course, that means you’ll have to be quick, as with such a limited supply available, they’ll be first come first served.

Ten Million PSUs

With over ten million CORSAIR PSUs sold to customers around the world, CORSAIR has crunched the numbers to visualize this landmark. With every unit at full load, ten million PSUs could output more than 650 Megawatts; enough to power three Nimitz class aircraft carriers. What’s more, the combined length of all the cabling from ten million PSUs is enough to fully circle the globe (with 4,000 miles to spare). And the weight of ten million PSUs? Equivalent to four Eiffel Towers, 113 Statues of Liberty or 10,000 Asian Elephants! A full infographic celebrating the sale of the ten millionth CORSAIR PSU can be found at
