Corsair H100i Liquid CPU Cooler Review

The new pump looks much more sleek in my opinion and the glossy black is a great look. I was slightly concerned that some of the radiator fins were bent out of the box, but this won’t affect performance and with the fans fitted you won’t see it, so it is nothing major.

Here you can see a closer look at the 240mm Asetek radiator Corsair use. It is a very nice piece, a dense radiator that’s not too thick which makes it ideal for fitting into most cases.

The Corsair H100i radiator measures in at 120mm high, 27mm thick and 275mm long.

With the two 120mm Corsair SP120-derivative fans fitted you can see very little of the radiator. I actually prefer the look of these new fans to the older fans, Corsair have definitely improved the look a lot.

Adding the 120mm fans to the H100i radiator takes the thickness from 27mm to approximately 55mm (25mm for the fans and about 3mm for the tops of the screw heads)

The new pump is a much improved look. You can see the widened tubing for better flow as well as the new LED which allows you to change the colour of your pump using the Corsair Link software.

Connecting the H100i to your computer is relatively simple. You use the provided cable to plug connect the pump (second input from top of image) into a USB 2.0 motherboard header which most people have spares of these days. The other input (first input from top of image) is to connect other devices to your Corsair H100i if you wish to use it as the Corsair Link Commander device aka the Corsair Link Hub.

The other two wide connections are used to connect two fans each for a total of four fans. All of which can be controlled using the Corsair Link software.

Here you can see more closely the USB connection (left) and the Corsair Commander connection (right).

These are the two Corsair 120mm fans provided with the H100i. They are technically not SP120s but they are derived from the same fan design except with a much higher RPM for better performance. It is nice to see Corsair treat the enthusiast to some nicer quality parts.
