Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow Smart Case Review

Exterior

The iCUE 220T RGB comes in two variants, black or white. Obviously, I have the white version here today. It almost looks like there’s no side panel window here. However, there certainly is. It’s just made of brilliantly clear tempered glass that matches up with that matte white and matte grey exterior.

One of the most striking aspects, however, has to be that front panel design. It has a custom cut mesh that will break up the lighting effects of the front fans. I think it looks absolutely fantastic myself. Airflow should be fine too, there’s more ventilation there than it looks, and the sides of the panel are open too.

There’s even a lovely dust filter sitting behind it, ensuring you get lots of clean air to your rig.

Grey?!

While the chassis is white, the fittings are finished in this lovely PS One grey. I love it, it’s a light shade and just separates the panels to give it a more unique look. The side panel screws are aluminium too, which matched up quite nicely.

More grey upon the top too. The magnetic dust filter covers almost the entire top of the chassis, allowing for huge airflow here.

Behind it, you’ll find elongated mounting holes for 2 x 120mm and 2 x 140mm fans. Radiators may be supported, but you’ll need to double-check your internal clearances, but that’s a given for any system build anyway.

Clean

The right side panel is just a plain white panel. However, I do love that slightly matte paint they’ve used, it’s less reflective than most, and really helps make that front panel pop even more too.

Around the Back

It’s business as usual around the back of the iCUE 220T RGB. Everything except the expansion slot covers and screws are finished in white here too.

There’s no rear fan as standard, however, the mounting will support a 120mm fan or radiator. The screw holes are elongated to allow for some height adjustment too.

Below that, you’ll find seven reusable and ventilated metal expansion slot covers. More than enough room here for an ATX system and a couple of graphics cards; or other PCIe devices.

Finally, four durable and blocky feet give the iCUE 220T RGB good stability, but also good underside airflow. There’s a slide-out mesh for the airflow to the PSU. Plus four screws that allow you to both adjust the HDD bays position or remove it entirely from the system.
