Corsair K55 Core RGB Gaming Keyboard Review

Corsair has a rich history of fancy and often rather expensive gaming keyboards. Their flagship models can cost over £200, and while they’re brilliant, they’re not within the budget of every PC gamer! So what can Corsair offer at the other end of the scale? Well, that’s where the Corsair K55 CORE RGB comes into play, a membrane gaming keyboard that comes in at just £39.98 on Amazon, making it very appealing for those who want to get some new Corsair hardware for their gaming PC, but don’t want to, or even more so, don’t feel the need to, spend a small fortune to do it.

Corsair K55 Core RGB

At such an affordable price range, this obviously isn’t going to feature Cherry MX Switches and a brushed aluminium frame with their class-leading per-key RGB lighting, actually, it doesn’t have anything close to that. What you do get is a membrane keyboard design, with a 10-zone RGB backlighting, and a plastic case, but it still comes with the aesthetic and flavour of a high-end Corsair keyboard. I love mechanical keyboards, but honestly, I feel membrane doesn’t get enough love, they’re cheap, extremely long-lasting, quiet, and have fantastic spill resistance too. If you’re a clumsy gamer or you want a keyboard that can withstand the abuse of a younger gamer, the K55 Core sounds perfect!
