Corsair T3 Rush Gaming Chair Review

A Closer Look – Components

As you can see, the box is enormous, but that’s pretty much to be expected with a new gaming chair. Everything is exceptionally well protected, the box is dual-layer, there is bubble wrap on all exposed surfaces, and there’s a thick plastic wrap on everything else.

Bits and Bobs

One of the first things to impress me is these fantastic wheels. They’re enormous, which is going to make for easy-going on carpeted surfaces. Of course, because they’re nylon, they shouldn’t scratch up wood flooring and tougher surfaces either.

As you can see, you get five of them in the box.

A class 4 gas lift, and the sleeve, pretty much exactly the same as any other chair really, so all good.

Two plastic covers to hide the backrest mounts. Nothing fancy, but again, they’re as you would expect.

There’s a nice little tool kit with everything you need too. Actually, more than you need, as those two large screws are extra should you lose one.

The base mechanism, pretty standard stuff too, It has a single control arm with a rocker/lock mechanism on push/pull or simply press the lever to adjust the height.

The five-point base. It’s all a durable plastic nylon construction, so it’s actually really lightweight. They’re VERY strong though, I’ve seen someone drive a car over one (a different brand, I might add) to test the strength, and it was fine.

Always a nice bonus, it comes with two large memory foam cushions; one for your back and one for your neck.

The Big Stuff

Here we have the backrest, obviously. It looks pretty stunning actually, a welcome break from the all-black PU leather dross that I usually see. This looks and feels very different to me.

The logo looks great, and all the black clean and uniform look to it. It’s really heavy-duty embroidery too, so it’s not going to wear off, ever.

There are two cut-outs for your 5-point racing harness. No wait, it’s for your neck cushion, that’s the one.

There’s really clean stitching along the edges two, with a nice two-tone grey finish on the back and edges.

Down the side, two removable bolts that you’ll use to attach to the base section.

As you can see, the rear of the seat has a matching Corsair logo up at the top.

The base cushion looks great too, with a set of side wings in a matching light grey with the darker grey trim. Again, this matches up with the backrest and the lines should flow once it’s assembled.

There are two 4D armrests, which features this geometric pattern moulded into them. They’re quite smooth to the touch though, it feels like a vinyl covering to me, but it’s not hard plastic, as there is a slightly big of padding to these.

The underside reveals a heavy-duty metal frame, but the seat is actually suspended with elastic braces, so it should be pretty forgiving to sit on. There’s a lot of cheap chairs out there at the moment that are actually a plank of wood with some foam on, urgh.
