Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Headset Review

A Closer Look – Headset

The Virtuoso Wireless SE is an absolutely gorgeous looking headset. Of course, even the cables and USB dongles looked fantastic, so this had to step up to match. The light texture of the metal, giving it a cast metal look, albeit it was machined then likely sandblasted. It has a good weight to it too, but given there’s a fair bit of metal on here, that’s no big surprise.

Ergonomics

Comfort is a big focus for this headset, well, so it should be for any headset of course. The ear cups rotate inwards, which makes it comfortable to wear around your neck between games. Of course, that also makes it easier to store in the carry pouch too. Of course, a little movement helps them fit around your ears a little better too.

The same light-textured is featured on all the metal components. However, just like the USB headers and the microphone, the edges have been cut and polished.

Stylish Design

The back of the ear cup is pretty slick too. It’s a closed-back design too, which will help lock in the sound and tighten up the low-end frequencies. There’s a tiny Corsair logo in the middle, which features their latest RGB tech too, giving you a little customisation.

Along the bottom of the ear cups, you’ll find a couple of ports. The USB Type-C charging port, 3.5mm audio jack, and the microphone mount. All pretty standard and easy to use stuff. I should add, you don’t need to charge the headset to use the 3.5mm jack, but you will for the wireless features. In USB mode, it’ll power directly from the USB cable.

On the other side, a large volume wheel, as well as a mode toggle. Simple enough, USB on one side, Slipstream wireless on the other. 3.5mm mode just seems to kick in when attaching the cable.
