Price

The updated Corsair Void Pro RGB Gaming Headset is available from today at most major retailers. There are three models of this headset available. There’s the Surround model, which comes in black/red, a USB model (which we reviewed) in black and white, and a wireless edition in black and white. The 2017 editions will be around £10 more expensive than the previous models, which is a modest increase for the latest models. Please check with your retailer of choice for accurate pricing information.

Overview

Corsair has a very strong reputation in the gaming market. Time and time again, they’ve released award-winning products that have been, and continue to be, smash hits with the wider PC gaming community. Fortunately, the new Void Pro headset is another victory for Corsair, and I’m certain it’s going to be a big selling product throughout the rest of 2017.

Build Quality and Design

The design of this headset doesn’t really differ much from the original Void headsets from last year or the year before. Of course, as the saying goes “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it!” and that’s very true here. It was a great looking headset to being with, and it continues to be one of the more stylish and modern looking headsets on the market today.

The build quality is robust too, with durable plastics where they’re needed, and a sturdy inner metal frame for added strength. I especially like the exposed metal sections between the headband and the ear cups.

Music, Movies or Games?

I’ve reviewed so many headsets over the years, and usually when they say “gaming headset” it’s a nice way to hide that it sucks with music or movies. That’s not an issue here though, and the Corsair Void is a solid all-rounder. A great headset should sound its best when you’re on a Skype call with friends or work. It should still sound great when you’re finishing work and playing your favorite games, enjoying a movie, or just jamming out to your favorite tunes. The tuned drivers on the Void are rocking all day round, perfect!

OMG RGB

The lighting effects on this headset aren’t too crazy, just a few lights on the sides of the ear cups. However, if you’re rocking the latest Corsair RGB keyboards and mice, even their RGB mouse mats, then it’s a little extra flair to complete the aesthetics. The Corsair software will allow you to sync all of the lights too, which is completely pointless, but it looks really cool.

Connectivity

This is a great set, but with three models on the market, you’ll be able to pick the one that best suits your needs. The USB model is suitable for most users. Of course, the wireless and the surround model will find their markets too.
