Cougar Gemini T RGB Glass-Wing PC Case Review

Complete System

The Gemini T is ultra-clean looking with a system installed. As I said, it has that huge PSU shroud, and loads of big cable routing grommets so getting everything right where you need it really takes no time at all.

The GPU support is fantastic here too, there’s almost double the length required to fit most high-end GPUs, and more than enough width for liquid-cooled cards too. Ther vertical pass-through works well too, although I do think moving it closer to the edge would be even better.

Obviously, I’ve gone for a fairly modest size cooler here, with the Noctua U12. However, even a D15 would fit in here with room to spare, so it should take virtually any air cooler with ease. For liquid cooling, you’ve got plenty of wiggle room to mount radiators and route tubing too.

The cable management is excellent. OK, my 24-pin is taking a strange route, but ironically the Cougar PSU I’m using wasn’t designed for such a long cable run, ah well!

Overall though, I’m really happy with how the build turned out. So, let’s fire up the RGB!

Obviously, the RGB on this case is all on the outside, which is a bit of a change. There’s my RGB RAM in here and the red LED on the GPU, but that’s it. It’s pretty dark in here overall.

However, on the exterior of the case, you’ll find a rather subtle effect with the lighting strips. They’re indirectly lit from underneath rather than the LEDs being at the surface which means they’re not lit up like neon. It’s more of a pastel colour effect, which I really like. It stands out, it’s colourful, but it’s not distracting.

It’s all addressable too, so you can get some really smooth colour transitions throughout the length of them.

What’s really neat is that you can control them from the LED button on the front I/O. You can cycle through a bunch of effects and colours instantly. However, if you wanted to, you can pair them up to your motherboard using the 5v header cable, and keep all your system synced.

Let’s see it again with all the lights up in the office and the glass back in place. The case is obviously pretty reflective, but damn does it stand out!
