The exterior packaging carries the black and orange branding well-associated with the Cougar brand. In terms of the layout, the information is well presented with a nice clear image of the power supply.
As for features or specifications, the packaging is perhaps a little heavy on the more technical aspects of its operation. In addition, with 4 different languages, it does get a little cramped in places.
On the whole, however, they tell you everything you could possibly want to know with the only exception being the wattage outputs on the +5Vsb and -12v rails. Let’s be honest though, only around 1 in 100 customers are going to care about that!
As this is a power supply, you clearly don’t need or expect too much in terms of accessories out of the box. Particularly in this instance with the Cougar VTE being a non-modular design.
As such, you are provided with a product technical manual, some screws to attach it to your case, and a few zip ties to help keep those cables tidy. Pretty much all you’d want!
