Could This Be The Worst CES Ever For PC Hardware Yet?
It is getting close to that time of year again. Your wallet is emptying due to the upcoming holiday season, it is freezing outside, and the entire tech world is planning to descend on Las Vegas to try and convince us that what we really need as we move into 2026 is an AI-powered, voice-activated RGB toaster.
Look, we have put a bit of a provocative title on this article, asking if this could be the “worst” CES yet. But hear me out, because there is a genuine concern here for us PC enthusiasts. Think about it. We are ending the year where we have seen some pretty major launch cycles. The heavy hitters, the flagship GPUs, the current lineup of CPUs are already out in the wild, so, what is actually left for CES?

Are we just gearing up for a solid week of marketing fluff, where companies try to re-sell us last year’s tech by slapping an “AI NPU” sticker on the box? Or are NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel actually hiding some substantial upgrades for our gaming rigs, especially for those of us who do not have thousands to drop on a new GPU?
Well, I have waded through the leaks, the rumours, and the endless press releases so you do not have to. Is it going to be a total washout, or are there actually some diamonds in the rough for PC gamers? Well, that is what we are going to find out.
