Creator of Stardew Valley Hints at the Possibility of Stardew Valley 2
The creator of Stardew Valley, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, has hinted that he might create Stardew Valley 2 in the future. However, before you get too excited, don’t forget that this is not an easy task.
The Words of the Creator of Stardew Valley
This information comes from an interview on the TigerBelly YouTube channel. Barone discussed the idea of making a sequel and explained what the problem is. He mentioned that it’s much easier to add more content to Stardew Valley rather than creating an entirely new game from scratch. The main systems of the game are already in place, and that’s the part that’s not fun to create. When he does an update, he just adds a little bit of this and that. For example, he could add green rain—just fun and random ideas.
He also said, “I might eventually make a Stardew Valley 2, to be honest.”
Barone’s Focus on His New Game: Haunted Chocolatier
In the same interview, Barone admitted that he doesn’t want to be known only for Stardew Valley. He is currently working on a new game called Haunted Chocolatier. However, fans shouldn’t expect it to come out anytime soon. There’s still a lot of work to do, and it has to be better than Stardew Valley. Barone promised that he wants to finish Haunted Chocolatier, but it will take time.
