Cronos: The New Dawn Adds New Lower Difficulty and Free Iron Rider Skin
Cronos: The New Dawn is a good, if not excellent, survival horror game, but it is certainly not an easy one. At launch, even the lowest difficulty settings offered a serious challenge, making survival far from simple.
For some players, however, the experience proved too demanding. The development team recognized this and decided to support less experienced players by releasing a free update that introduces a new, lower difficulty level. This option is designed for those who prefer to focus more on the story rather than constant survival pressure.
New Lower Difficulty Added in the Latest Update
The new difficulty level in Cronos: The New Dawn is called “Temporal Diver.” It is meant to provide a more relaxed experience. Normally, resources in the game are limited and enemies attack relentlessly, creating constant tension. With this new setting, the challenge should feel much more forgiving, allowing players to progress with less stress.
The update also changes the names of the previous difficulty levels to make it clearer what type of challenge each one offers. However, there is one limitation: it is not possible to change the difficulty in an already started playthrough. Players who want to switch to the new mode will need to begin a new game.
The update does not stop at difficulty adjustments. A new free costume has also been added for players. It is called the Iron Rider Skin, and it can now be equipped by your character.
With this update, the developers are clearly aiming to make Cronos: The New Dawn more accessible while still keeping its survival horror identity intact.
In other news, Bloober Team has stated that it aims to release large-scale games at a faster pace.
