The CRYORIG H5 Universal hasn’t really made it to the UK yet with a quick look around only showing Ebuyer.com selling it for £39.99. CRYORIG have said that their RRP is around €34,00 / $46,99 so if we see this cooler in more stores I think the price will settle a little lower than it currently is. At £39.99 there are coolers that do outperform the H5, but I don’t think that there are many that look as good and if the price ends up lower I think this will be a serious contender in the cooling market.

Overview;

Even though CRYORIG are relatively new to the market, they are ticking a lot of boxes when it comes to the H5 Universal. It looks amazing with its white plastic covers and the Hive Fin technology and the thin fan means that you can use it with any RAM you like.

Installation is a breeze and it performs adequately. I am struggling to find anything particularly wrong with this cooler at all, the only real downside is that it doesn’t outperform the higher priced coolers, but this is to be expected when you have a lot of AIOs and enthusiast coolers.

CRYORIG are obviously thinking about their customers, ensuring that they are getting the best possible experience from their products by packaging the product in not only one, but two boxes and then also giving you the tools you will need to install it. It’s refreshing to see a company come out of the starting blocks running and not falling at the first hurdle. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, good looking cooler and weren’t looking to use any crazy overclocks I think this would be one of my choices.

I have given this the “Innovation Award” as it really is hard to bring something new to a product range such as coolers, yet CRYORIG have managed it in more than one area.
