CyberpowerPC Infinity Achilles Pro System Review

Final Thoughts

To round off this review, I first of all want to make a note on the choice of components that have been made for this build. For a system of this price we know that we’re not going to be looking at the peak of component performance but we do expect to see a mid-range level of performance as a result from the choices that have been made. Starting with Corsair’s Air 540 Gaming Cube – when we looked at this case not too long ago, the potential for upgrades and more importantly the masses of cable tidying space in the rear compartment went down really well landing it with our Innovation Award as a result. Moving inside the choice of components used are suitably matched. The use of a 4670k as opposed to a 4770k not only drops the price considerably, but the overclock that it is then given brings the performance right back up and with a H60 cooler its going to be more than comfortable during day-to-day use as well as during a gaming session.

Over with the memory we do typically see the higher end systems coming with 16GB of RAM, but even we know that for the average gamer at the moment, this is a little to much. Granted if you are looking to do some photo of video editing on this system then upgrading this may be beneficial, but if gaming is the no1 use then 8GB is going to be more than enough. The Hyper X Predator kit that is used is no slouch either and when we looked at the 2400MHz SKU last year it walked away with our Extreme Performance result in its pocket.

Moving further down to the graphics choice, the GTX 760 is a card that we have regarded best value for money out of the 700 series stack. the balance between performance and overall cost is right on that sweet spot and with the huge overclocking potential that it does have, there is certainly more than enough headroom for a bit more ‘oomph’. I will note with this particular component that the card that you will get is not guaranteed. Granted we was fortunate to get an MSI Gaming series card in our review system, but Cyberpower do list that you will get a major brand card with your build, but not of a specific item so cards may vary from batch to batch.

On a last bit about the storage, Samsung’s 840 SSD has been commended for its value appeal with the focus on the read speeds and for a more budget conscious system this fits in very well when paired with the 1TB hard drive.

Putting the system aside for a moment and looking at what else you are getting for your money, there should be no reservations made when it comes to asking if CyberpowerPC is reputable enough. As one of the biggest system integrators in the US and one of the upcoming companies in the UK, they have got a strong backing with years of experience and obsession for detail behind them. This means that each system is built with the utmost care and attention ensuring that its ends up in your hands just how you want it. Backed by a 3 year limited warranty as well, there is a good peace of mind factor to go with your purchase that the system is covered. For a fair share of users, buying a pre-built system may seem like a waste of time as the overall cost is higher and granted that whichever vendor you go to, there is going to be a higher ticket for getting a system built, but for those that don’t know how to build or have not got the time even to do so, getting it done by the pros is always a safe way of making sure you get a quality system that works.

Priced at £1249.20, the Infinity Achilles Pro offers up a great build quality and a level of performance that is right for the money. Naturally its not a top end gaming system, but for the mainstream user, this system is certainly one to consider and remember, that even if you don’t like the case – this can be changed before you come to purchase. If you’re interested in this system then head over to the following link where you can get a look at the customisation options for yourself: Infinity Achilles Pro at CyberpowerPC

“With a strong backing in the US and a growing user base in the UK, CyberpowerPC know what it takes to make a good system.
