The official trailer for CyberPunk 2077 Phantom Liberty has been revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase alongside a 26/09/23 release date.
The trailer shows off some of the gameplay we will expect to see within the DLC once again taking control of V and working with a government agent who can save V’s life if in return V saves the President who has crashed landed Spaceforce 1 into a new location named “Dogtown”. Dogtown, which I may have misheard, is presented as a lawless area as a part of the Pacifica district which is good news as I felt that area felt a bit unfinished with the stadium and areas around it being inaccessible. The trailer gives us an idea of the storyline of this DLC which looks fairly interesting with the introduction of Idris Elba but looks to create a different ending to the story from the main game with the option of V finding a cure to removing Johnny’s construct. You can watch the trailer below.
This has made me a bit more interested in the DLC but I will still definitely be waiting at least a month after release because the rumoured 29.99 euro price tag isn’t something I’m going to be confident dropping on a game that hasn’t got the best history.
