As some of our readers will know, we’re big fans of MadCatz here at eTeknix, so I was really excited to find out I not only get to review their new game Damage Inc, but also their new flight stick from Saitek, that was made specially for the title. Which makes this somewhat of a first for an eTeknix review, as I will be reviewing both the peripheral and the game together. They were made for each other and come in the same box, so it would be a shame to separate them.
MadCatz have been around since 1989 in one form or another creating many gaming related products that span several names, from their Tritton, Cyborg and Saitek ranges, but now they have taken that extra leap from making peripherals to making the games that go with them, as can be seen here with their latest title Damage Inc. We’ll be taking a look at the Xbox 360 edition of the game today, although the title does also come in a Playstation 3 and PC edition.
The game currently retails for around £34.99 or £69.99 with the flight stick included, which does sound like a lot of money, but given that most decent flight sticks for consoles tend to be in that price category on their own, getting one bundled with the game seems like excellent value for money, so today I will be taking a closer look at what both the stick and the game have to offer for the money, so come and read the next few pages to find out just how well both the game and the custom flight stick perform in our playtests, but not before we take a closer look at what the stick itself has to offer.
