Dark Matter 49″ Super Ultrawide & 34″ Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitors

While I’ve never personally used a Dark Matter monitor, the latest range of displays from Monoprice are certainly starting to grab my attention. Monoprice has just unveiled its new 34-inch ultrawide (UWQHD) and
49-inch curved super ultrawide (DQHD) monitors, and monitors that big will always grab my attention!

“We take great pride in developing our Dark Matter monitors, and hand select our panels to ensure they provide gamers with top-tier performance without compromising productivity,” said Carter Salley, Business Unit Manager, Monoprice. “Featuring a less extreme curve than competing gaming monitors, these displays boast a more comfortable viewing experience with less eye strain for mixed-use.”

What really makes both of these monitors stand out are the level of features and the price that goes with them. They’re extremely well equipped, but remain very competitively priced. Alas, not to confuse competitive with cheap. However, the larger 49″ panel runs at 120 Hz and is certainly an attractive solution. However, at half the price, the 34″ model is no slouch either, with its 165 Hz refresh rate!

The ergonomic 1800R curvature enhances immersion and reduces eye strain, while Quantum LCD technology enhances visuals for lifelike colour accuracy, deeper blacks, and greater brightness.

The subtle 1500R curvature provides excellent ergonomics for long workdays and extended gaming sessions. Quantum LCD technology delivers a wider gamut of colors for excellent colour accuracy and enhanced brightness and contrast.
