DDR3 prices reach all time lows, good news for consumers

Although periodically the demand for RAM modules drops off during the months of summer the low prices we are currently seeing are still fantastic for the consumer. Prices of less than 5 euros per GB are being recorded in certain segments of the market. The lowest prices can be seen with the DDR3 1333MHz or the DDR3 SODIMM 1066MHz markets.

A couple of examples from the German memory market show just how cheap things have become:

  • 8GB 1333MHz Team Group 34.99 Euros, 4.37 Euros per GB (a month ago it cost 52 Euros)
  • 4GB 1333MHz Kingston 19.99Euros, 5 Euros per GB
  • 4GB SODIMM 1066MHz 21 Euros, 5.25 Euros per GB (Down from 30 euros)

Which means for everyone out there looking for new RAM modules now is definitely the time to upgrade your laptop or desktop DDR3 systems before prices start to rise again in Autumn.
