Dead Space Remake – Official PC Requirements Confirmed!

Set for release on January 27th, for many, the Dead Space Remake is one of their most anticipated gaming releases. – Now, I personally can’t stand horror games. Well, more accurately, I do enjoy horror games, but usually from the safety of watching from behind the sofa than actually, you know, participating in the actual activity.
Early last month, however, I did see something more than a little scary in regard to the Dead Space Remake. And no, it wasn’t footage from the game, but more so the provision system requirements which, although lacking any GPU information at the time, did seem to strongly hint that a potent processor was going to be the advantage of the gamers.
How accurate were these though? Well, following an official update to its Steam store website, we now have the full PC requirements for the Dead Space Remake, and it comes with a little good and a little bad news!
Dead Space Remake – Official PC Requirements!
So, starting with the (mostly) good news, the graphics card requirements for the Dead Space Remake aren’t overly terrible. Admittedly though, needing an AMD 6700 XT or Nvidia 2070 for ‘recommended’ is certainly a bit more potent than many might have hoped. Particularly since recommended usually refers to 1080p resolution. And if that’s the case, I dread to think about what might be needed for a smooth 4K experience.
The bad news, however, is that the CPU requirement is (somewhat keeping in line with the GPU I should note) still rather terse. No, the Ryzen 5600X and Intel 11600K are hardly at the bleeding edge, but it’s still what I would consider being in the upper-mid tier range of gaming PCs.
What Do We Think?
Overall, while the Dead Space Remake looks impressive, it unfortunately also looks like it’s going to need some pretty impressive hardware to get the best out of it. – My PC is no slouch, but even I’m not sure what kind of experience I’m going to get at 1080p, let alone the 1440p I’m mostly accustomed to these days! – Then again, I’m probably not planning on playing this because I’m a scaredy cat.
