DeepCool AK620 Digital Pro CPU Cooler Review
A Closer Look
DeepCool has been on a bit of a winning streak when it comes to their air coolers, delivering great aesthetics that really make them stand out in a very crowded market. The AK620 is no exception, with a compact but densely packed dual tower design.

It features that superb staggered square design on the back, which emulates some of the design elements we see throughout the DeepCool range of cases, coolers, power supplies, and even their brand logo.

Despite the fairly compact design, it still features a pair of 120mm fans as standard, and I suppose there’s no reason you couldn’t cram a third one on there if you really felt the need. Much in the same way, you could operate it with a single fan (ideally the one in the middle), if you were a bit limited on space but still wanted a higher TDP cooler.

The quality of the fans is excellent, with their own FDB 120mm PWM fans, with a 9-blade design and anti-vibration mounts.

The fans are held on with retention clips, which I honestly hate, but I have to admit, until someone invents a cheaper (not likely), lighter (doubt it), and simpler way (also unlikely) to mount a fan, they do serve their purpose pretty well.

The top panel is very glossy and a total fingerprint magnet, unfortunately. It’s also that kind of glossy plastic that is extremely easy to scratch, so absolutely handle this with care when you are installing your cooler. It does look great though, and of course, it features that built-in display, but also a strip of RGB underlighting on the left and right sides.

On the underside, you can see the main mounting kit is built-in, so when you install the mounting bracket, you simple screw the cooler down onto it then re-install the the middle fan.

There are six heat pipes, which pass through a large contact plate to provide even heat dissipation from your CPU of choice.

Another little detail I like is the cable routing for the top panel display and RGB, with the cables fed down through the heatsink to keep them looking neat and tidy.

While the display itself is magnetically mounted and uses contact pins, so you can simply pop it off or clip it back on without having to deal with additional connectors.

It’s a simple, yet very well thought-out design.

Once installed in your system, it looks superb, and that top plate really finishes off the design. If you’ve read my review of the latest DeepCool Mini-ITX cases, you can see this lovely air cooler fits in those smaller cases too! If you haven’t, you can read those reviews here.
