DeepCool Confirms Free Cooler Mounting Kit Upgrades for AMD AM5 Socket

DeepCool has announced that it will provide free-of-charge mounting kits for AMD’s upcoming AM5 platform, enabling customers to continue using their existing DeepCool CPU coolers on the newest generation of AMD CPUs (LGA1718). Additionally, they have also confirmed that current and future coolers will also include the new mounting hardware where necessary as part of new product updates.

DeepCool Offers Free Cooler AM5 Mounting Kit Upgrades

The new processor will have a new IHS design and will feature support for DDR5 RAM and PCI-E 5.0. The AM5 socket will utilize the same mounting pattern as the AM4 socket, but there is a slight variance in the height of the installed processor. Due to the slight variance, some DeepCool coolers will need to utilize upgraded mounting hardware. To help with the transition, DeepCool is releasing mounting upgrade kits that will be compatible with the AM5 socket. These kits will feature hardware associated with the socket and include components required to perform the installation.

Where Can I Learn More?

Users who are using their cooling solutions are now able to verify if their cooler needs an upgrade kit by going to DeepCool’s official website. From there, they will be able to enter the serial number of the cooler as part of a verification process, and if an upgrade kit is required, you will be provided with the next steps to complete the transaction. – DeepCool has, however, advised that in anticipation of many users looking to claim their AM5 kits, there may be some shipping delays. As such, for those in urgent need of theirs, users might find faster solutions by checking online retailers (Amazon has been suggested as one source).

For more information, however, you can visit the official DeepCool website via the link here!
