Developers Hint at Major Halo Project Update During October 24 Event
In 2026, the Halo series will celebrate its 25th anniversary, and for the occasion, fans might receive some major announcements. The strongest rumors suggest a possible remake of the first game, which has fueled excitement across the community.
Recently, Steve Downes, the iconic voice of Master Chief, hinted that big news is coming for the franchise, to be revealed during the Halo World Championships, scheduled for October 24–25. Adding even more fuel to the fire, Brian Jarrard, Community Director at Halo Studios, confirmed there will indeed be news during the event and clarified that it will concern one of the projects currently in development at the studio
What’s Being Planned?
The key date to mark on the calendar is Friday, October 24, when the Halo Studios project update will take place. According to Jarrard, the update will share information on one of Halo Studios’ ongoing projects.
It should be noted, however, that the announcement might not directly involve a remake of the original Halo or a brand-new mainline entry in the series. It’s possible that it will instead focus on a major update or new multiplayer modes for Halo Infinite.
After all, the Halo World Championships primarily attract dedicated multiplayer fans and don’t carry the same media weight as a major Xbox event — which would likely be a more fitting stage for a huge reveal like a remake.
For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.
