The gaming industry at the moment is pretty terrible, there’s little passion and too heavy a focus on making a profit leading to unfinished games, live service rubbish, micro-transactions and battle passes, all designed to just get every last penny from you. But hey that’s how the world works and unfortunately consumers just eat it up. Today the latest scumbag move in the gaming industry comes from none other than Activision Blizzard, who were behind the last scumbag move and the one before that and… you get the point.
Diablo IV is the latest title in the Diablo series which released last year and currently sits at a mixed all time review rating on Steam. This game is the culprit behind the latest scummy microtransaction and that is a $29.99 fee for the ability to change the colours of your portals. This was shared on the Diablo 4 Subreddit by u/Mwatki20 and shows the Dark Pathways pack which add 5 different portal colours as well as 1000 coins of the in game currency. The 1000 coins is worth about $9.99 which makes these 5 portal colours worth $20 and each portal $4 each, and just to make it worse, apparently these portals are class locked.
$20 for different color portals? LMFAO Blizz!

Just to put it into context, this pack costs the same as Palworld and is half the price of Diablo 4 itself. I really need to know, what idiots are buying this and why? Chances are Blizzard know its a terrible deal and know people will flame it, but the potential profit from the suckers who’ll buy it is too good to pass up.
