Edge, not just a Shaving Cream…

Okay, so I have seen many things in the past 6 months, but I have not seen anything like I read today. All of you might remember me as killap4oc on the forums, or more formally as Jenna or Geneviève. However you may know me, you may not have known for the past 6 months of my life, I have been driving truck, semi, lorrie, whatever name you want to use in the English language, because frankly that is all I know.

One thing is for certain though, no matter how many accidents I have seen, idiots on the road, companies treating you like crap, I learned it is just like running a review site. Today, I had read both part 1 and part 2 of “Another day in the Office.” I can recall back to when eTeknix first started, and well, the same ole stuff happened back then too. While the forum still had potential, any customers that Andy had to deal with wanted a pristine review done on a not so great product, okay fine, a terrible product. Truth be told, if you did not give a company the review they were looking for, you were done reviewing their products.

While I may not have been reviewing products these past several months, I have been delivering them. I have been delivering products to customers that are rude, don’t care if the vehicle is dangerously overweight, and rather make the driver sit for extended periods of time loading or unloading a 53′ trailer. Personally, I am just fed up with the trucking industry, I am sure it is just as bad in America as it is anywhere else. The people driving the trucks, delivering products, are the people that make the world survive, without us, you would not have food, shelter, water, and the latest technological craze to sweep eTeknix.

Okay, so maybe I got carried away with that last bit. What is my point you might ask? After I read Andy’s “Another Day in the Office” articles, I realized some edge was making a push towards eTeknix readers. I was the editor of eTeknix up to the point that I decided to start driving truck. When I first started publishing articles, I remembered Andy did not care too much for the edgy bits of news I would write. He would always have me rephrase, in fear of the company getting upset. Now that I see eTeknix is straight forward about products now, it is time for this trucker to park it and make her return back to the fabulous, glamorous world of computer hardware, software, and electronics. Even if the underworld of a review site is not so fabulous and glamorous. One thing I can promise, you, the reader is the truth? However controversial, edgy, mundane, or destructive it may be, I will deliver it to you. Can you handle that, do you feel me, because I have more than a truck load to contribute. Welcome to eTeknix, the no bull**** part of your cup of coffee.
