Water blocks for non-reference Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 designs are taking a while to come out. The reference Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 water block has been out more or less since the launch day.
EK have developed a full cover block for the MSI GTX 680 Lightning and Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC. Now they have released one for the EVGA GTX 680 FTW graphics card, which is probably the most popular non-reference GTX 680 graphics card given how successful EVGA always is with Nvidia cards in all markets.
EK will release two water blocks for the EVGA GTX 680 FTW, the EK-FC680 GTX FTW and EK-FC680 GTX FTW+. Both water blocks cool the VRM, RAM and GPU directly but the + version is optimised for systems with weak water cooling pumps.
Continuing with current EK standards the GPU block base is made of nickel plated electrolytic copper and the top is made from quality satin finish acrylic material. 4-Way SLI is supported and you can connect four cards using an EK-FC Bridge & Link system – that’s if you have more money than sense.
The water block will be available for purchase through EK webshop and its reseller network by late October.
