EK Waterblocks have released a whole lot of GPU coolers lately, and now there is one more in the line-up. This time it’s for the Gigabyte GTX 970 Gaming G1 card that gets the water treatment with the new full-cover water block called the EK-FC970 GTX WF3. The WF3 stands for WindForce 3x for easy identification.
As a full-cover water block it cools the GPU, RAM and VRMs and of course uses EK’s unique central inlet split-flow cooling engine that performs equally in reverse flow and with weaker pumps. The base is made from nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of either POM Acetal or Acrylic depending on model you chose.
As always, the EK water block comes with screw-in brass standoffs to allow for easy and safe installation. The optional backplates will be available in either Black or Nickel versions to match the front layout.
The new full-cover water block for the Gigabyte GTX 970 Gaming G1 should be available now or shortly either directly at EK or through one of the many resellers. Backplates will be available sometime during December.
