Although powerful, Intel’s latest HEDT CPUs and X299 platform have a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to keeping temperatures in check. Some critics even points out the VRM temperature issues specifically, often citing poor heatsink design for overclocking. Why is why cooling manufacturer EKWB has been offering full-cover monoblocks to keep both the CPU and VRM components cool with a single solution. They initially began offering an MSI X299 monoblock but now EKWB has a solution for Gigabyte X299 motherboard users.
Like previous EKWB monoblocks, the contact are is made of nickel-plated copper with a glass acrylic see-through top. This enables the RGB LED lighting to backlight the entire monoblock, resulting in a highly functional but highly aesthetic showpiece. The bottom edge of the block even features a custom AORUS logo to match the motherboard.
Supported Gigabyte Motherboards
The new EK-FB GA X299 GAMING RGB Monoblock is compatible with the Gigaybte X299 Aorus Gaming 3, Ultra Gaming, Gaming 7, Gaming 9 motherboards. It even supports the non-gaming Gigabyte X299 UD4.
Pricing and Availability
The EKWB X299 RGB Monoblock is available for pre-order now through EK Webshop and their partner reseller network. It has a 119.95€ MSRP and all pre-orders will begin shipping on August 25.
