Elden Ring Players Seem Committed to Ending it All With Ranni!

Elden Ring officially has six endings. While I won’t go into any great details over every single one, the bottom line is that two of them are relatively easy to get while the other four require a little more (or, in some cases, a lot more) legwork from our Tarnished protagonist (or antagonist depending on which road you go down). – You would, however, be forgiven for thinking that the bog-standard ‘Elden Lord’ ending was the most common of the six. It is, after all, the default ending you get if you basically play the game to its standard conclusion.

Following a report via PCGamer, however, it seems that the Elden Ring community clearly has the hots for Ranni as, despite having an exceptionally complicated and easy-to-miss questline, running off into the moonlight with her is actually a more commonly achieved ending than the basic one!

Elden Ring’s Ranni is More Popular Than Becoming Elden Lord

I’m going to do my best here to avoid spoilers (for the benefit of those of you who still haven’t played Elden Ring), but getting Ranni’s ending is not a simple process. This is, of course, not unlike a lot of prior Soulsborne titles where you have to complete a number of tasks in a very specific and often well-hidden order. Sticking with Elden Ring, however, I would put Ranni’s ending achievement alongside ‘The Frenzied Flame’ and Mr Dung Eater. – They are only likely to happen if you deliberately and purposefully go out of your way to get them.

The Steam achievements, however, clearly suggest that either people are getting very lucky in their travels, or a lot of people just really want to run off with Ranni. Why? Well, Ranni’s ending currently has a 25.9% completion rate whereas the standard (and quite boring) ‘Elden Lord’ ending only has a 19.6% rate.

Truth be told though, most agree that Ranni’s conclusion is about the most interesting of all the six Elden Ring ending and I don’t blame people for very specifically seeking this one out. And yes, I have Ranni’s ending, albeit, and somewhat contrary to this, I did actually get Elden Lord first.

What about you though? Which Elden Ring ending did you achieve on your first playthrough? – Let us know in the comments!
