Electronic Arts (EA) announced today that its games were played for over 11 billion hours in 2024. This impressive figure was revealed as part of the publisher’s year-end review, which highlights the company’s performance across various platforms.
“You could see our creativity and passion in Thedas with Dragon Age™: The Veilguard, on the pitch with EA SPORTS FC™ 25, on the gridiron with EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 25 and College Football 25, or skating with the pros in EA SPORTS NHL 25,” reads an official statement from Electronic Arts.
Celebrating Creativity and Talent
“The Sims™ 4 was the gift that kept on giving, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU brought us into brand-new worlds, and F1 24 delivered a premier racing experience. None of this is possible without our incredible creators, innovators, and storytellers,” the note continues.
EA credited its talented individuals, emphasizing their use of cutting-edge technology to craft revolutionary gaming experiences that foster connections among players. Highlights included contributions from ZAU’s Abubakar Salim, World Rally Championship driver Jon Armstrong, and Corinne Busche, a central figure behind the expansive world of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Record-Breaking Engagement in 2024
While the launch of EA Sports FC 25 marked another significant success, several other titles also contributed to EA’s impressive numbers in 2024. Users collectively uploaded over three million videos across ten major franchises, while nearly two billion hours were spent watching EA game-related content on social media.
