Endgame Gear OP1 8k v2 Raw Input Edition Gaming Mouse Review

Endgame Gear are, unsurprisingly, a gaming focused brand. With their range of peripherals being hard focused on competitive gaming, both at home and at a professional level. I’ve tested a bunch of their products over the years, such as the XM2WE Wireless from a few years ago, or the superb XM1 from 2019. They’re not new to this market, they’ve had years to iterate and develop the perfect gaming mouse for competitive gamers, and their new OP1 8K V2 is their new flagship for 2026 and beyond.
The Endgame Gear OP1 8k v2 Raw Input Edition is a wired gaming mouse developed in collaboration with Raw Input founders Viscose and pinguefy. Tailored for elite competitive gamers and enthusiasts who prioritise raw precision, and even cooler, I have the new special edition, which sports a distinctive pink colorway. Built around a lightweight chassis and top tier components, you can expect class-leading performance with switft clicking, ultra-fast response times, and a sublime sensor with 8000 Hz polling.
Key Features
The OP1 8k v2 Raw Input Edition sets itself apart through precision engineering and high-end components. It features a custom PixArt PAW3950 sensor paired with a high-speed Nuvoton microcontroller to achieve a true 8000 Hz polling rate, delivering up to 8000 data reports per second for minimal input lag, albeit they’re not the first or last to create an 8000 Hz mouse, but the speed advantage is certainly welcome. For tactile feedback and click performance, the mouse incorporates custom mechanical Kailh GX switches with an SPDT configuration, supporting a specialised GX Speed Mode that registers clicks even faster.

- Custom Kailh GX SPDT main button switches with swappable options via the included OP1 Universal Switch Pack.
- Custom Kailh GM2.0 side and middle mouse button switches.
- Kailh Dustproof mouse wheel encoder for enhanced scroll reliability.
- Lightweight construction weighing approximately 49.5g.
- Flex Cord 5.0 cable with an angled stress relief design.

Technical Specifications
Underneath the shell, the technical specifications reflect a heavy focus on high-frequency tracking and granular software customisation you would expect. The sensor supports extensive lift-off distance tuning down to 0.7mm alongside angle snapping and motion sync options. The physical layout is designed for claw-grip twitchy gameplay, with a superb 750 IPS max speed and 50G acceleration. While the mouse its self uses a 5+1 button layout, as well as a dedicated CPI button located on the bottom of the mouse. Yet, despite all this, it clocks in at an ultra-light 49.5 grams!
