Enermax Introduces Equilence Tempered Glass Silent Case

Enermax introduced the GraceFun  (ECB3090) and GraceMesh (ECA3520) cases four months ago. Both are affordable mid-tower solutions with a tempered glass side panel. Their latest case continues a similar approach, but with a twist. The new Enermax Equilence is built to showcase high-end components, but has sound dampening foam at the top, front and right side.

Enermax Equilence Features

For effective dampening, Enermax uses high density sound insulation foam. The top part also can conveniently be taken off to allow for better airflow. The left side panel uses 4mm thick panoramic glass with tint. However, even this panel has dampening on its mounting screws, reducing vibration.

The internal structure lends itself to quite an extensive liquid cooling setup as well. Users can mount a 360mm, 240mm or 120mm radiator at the front. While the top area supports 360mm, 280mm, 240mm, 140mm and 120mm radiators. There is also a side wall where a 240mm or 120mm radiator can mount to.

The front IO even has an integrated 3-speed fan controller which can control up to six fans at the same time. The IO panel is also backlit with anti-dust rubber covers. This ensures users are able to see the USB ports in the dark.

In terms of component support, CPU coolers up to 175mm tall and video cards up to 420mm long are supported. There are two 3.5″ drives on the bottom bay, with room for a total of six 2.5″ drives available.

Pricing and Availability

It is already available in Asian markets, and at PCHome Online, it is currently available already for 3990 NTD. For comparison, the GraceMesh (ECA3520B-0) is available on the same site for 2,190 NTD which is the equivalent of $75 USD. This is only slightly higher than the US pricing at NewEgg which is $69 for the GraceMesh. So 3990 NTD converts to about $135 USD, so expect it to cost a little less than that once it is available in major retailers.
