Enermax Ostrog Mid-Tower PC Chassis Review

With the side panel removed you can see there is quite a lot going on inside this chassis. There is a large rear panel cutaway, which makes for easy installation and removal of CPU coolers. There are a few basic cable management cut-outs to help keep things organized and in the bottom of the chassis there is also room for a 120mm fan, but like the rest of the chassis this doesn’t come with an air filter.

The four 5.25″ drive bays all come with quick release locks for quick and easy drive installation and removal, as does the floppy drive bay and the bottom two drive trays, with the rest supporting the included clip-on slide rails that came with the chassis.

The 120mm pre-installed fan comes fitted with a 4pin Molex connection rather than a motherboard header connection. Unfortunately the PCI slot covers are snap-offs, and this goes some way to explaining why they included a single replacement cover but I would have obviously much preferred them all to be reusable.

The next photo is to give you a better look at both the top fan mounting points and the base fan mounting point. As you can see if wouldn’t take much to get some serious airflow through this case which would assist your whole system.

Around the other side of the chassis things are looking neat and tidy, with all the pre-wired cables already tied down to keep things together. The space back here is rather limited though, but the chassis does come with plenty of tie down loops to keep your cables in place with the included cable ties.
