ESO: Flames of Ambition Gameplay Trailer Released

This week saw the release of the latest DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online. The Flames of Ambition DLC contains two impressive new dungeons and opens us up to the Gates of Oblivion year-long content cycle, as well as the mighty Update 29 which we discussed yesterday.

While the base game has seen significant changes this week, the new content offers up some welcome additions of its own. Namely, it seems that a new stamina boosting armour set is the new focus for a lot of stamina based DD’s, so expect to find plenty of players gunning for this new content for that set.

While ESO Update 29 and Flames of Ambition are available now on PC, they will arrive on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 16. If you are on console, at least you won’t have to wait too much longer.

Black Drake Villa

Players will team up with the adventurous Wood Elf scout Eveli Sharp-Arrow and search the hidden archives of a once-proud mansion that is now home to monsters and arsonists. Players can learn more details more about Black Drake Villa here.

“Eveli is here at the behest of a mysterious benefactor who sent her looking for something very particular within this secret library,” explains Mike Finnigan, ESO’s Encounters Lead. “She is always up for an adventure, and I think that’s what makes her so appealing and such a fun character to work with. Her stakes in the fight are the same as yours, and she loves to go where the road takes her.”

The Cauldron

The cult of the Waking Flame has enslaved the local townsfolk and now excavates sinister ruins deep within a long-forgotten mine. With the help of the Dremora Lyranth, players will battle their way through Daedric beasts and cultists, free the captives, and put a stop to their plans. “Lyranth is a great character because she very much has her own agenda, and no one is really quite sure what it is,” explains Mike Finnigan, ESO’s Encounters Lead. “She is mercurial and aloof, but her motives often align with the players, and her rebellious nature is very endearing to the community.”
