Evercool Booster Wrist Pad Review

Today we are looking at the Evercool Booster Cool Wrist Pad which is a more unusual peripheral for your computer. Its purpose is to keep your hand cool whilst using a mouse or keyboard, especially during gaming sessions. It has two fans which will send air past your ‘mousing’ hand to keep a cool breeze flowing.

Evercool has always specialised in Cooling for the computer; primarily CPU cooling, water cooling and standard case fans. They also have a big share in laptop cooling. However, never before have they had a product to cool your hand down.

Evercool’s reasoning for producing such a device is that your game-play is severely disadvantaged when you start to get a sweaty hand and lose the finer control of the mouse. It is also not a nice feeling and may incur you having to pause a game to wipe your hands dry. The design is similar to the cushioned mouse pads which provide support for your wrist, reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury and other injuries relating to extensive use of a mouse. It has also been designed that it will not restrict your movement as the Booster will slide along most surfaces with your wrist still supported in the middle.

On paper, it seems to me that they have taken a minor problem and blown it up out of proportion. However, there are clearly some benefits and as the price is very low I’m sure there are a lot of people who are looking at this and wanting one. We will see if the product can change my opinion after testing.
