EVGA Go Extreme With GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid GPU

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 HYBRID w/ iCX Technology

EVGA has a strong history of creating high-performance graphics cards. Often, they’ve produced many of the fastest cards on the market, albeit with the high-end price tags to match. Now they’re ready to roll out their incredibly powerful GTX 1080 Ti. Of course, this isn’t any standard 1080 Ti, hence it’s FTW3 moniker.

FTW3

The new card comes equipped with their “EVGA exclusive iCX Technology.” Their custom cooling design not only allows for comprehensive air and water cooling of the graphics card components. This also includes a dedicated memory cooling plate, which connects to the cooling block. It also allows for more precise monitoring of the various components of the card. Extra monitoring data, as well as more powerful cooling, means one thing; higher and more stable overclocking.

“Featuring a total of 11 global patents, iCX is the very definition of Interactive Cooling. With EVGA’s iCX Technology, users will have a better understanding of their graphics card’s operation. This includes temperature monitoring on key components (not just GPU) and targeted cooling, which provides better overclocking capabilities.”

  • Featuring a total of 11 global patents (pending and granted), iCX is efficiency perfected.
  • 9 Additional Sensors and MCU’s embedded on the PCB.
  • Full Control Using EVGA Precision XOC.
  • EVGA’s iCX is the Very Definition of Interactive Cooling.
  • Asynchronously-cooled GPU and PWR components use iCX sensors to determine Pump/Fan speed.

Extreme Performance

The card comes with the usual 3584 CUDA cores. However, clocked at 1569 MHz base, 1683 MHz boost, and with a memory clock of 11016 MHz, this card is no slouch. With the water block cooling the GPU and memory. As well as the air cooler keeping the PCB and VMR hardware nice and fresh, it should be able to maintain those high close speeds for long gaming sessions.
