EVGA has introduced its new SuperNOVA 1000G and 850G XC ATX 3.0 power supply series giving you a reliable option for high-power gaming systems.
These two new PSUs from EVGA are the company’s first ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5.0 ready power supplies fully capable of taking on the latest high-end graphics cards with the included native12VHPWR cable. The SuperNOVA utilises 100% Japanese capacitors with a half-bridge LLC resonant controller and DC-DC converter all with an 80 Plus GOLD efficiency rating. For even more peace of mind, the SuperNOVA XC series power supplies support up to 200% total power excursion and up to 300% GPU Power Excursion meaning that these PSUs can handle up to 2x its rated wattage and up to 3x GPU sustained power. With the large power spikes that some GPUs have, SuperNOVA will be able to handle it.
The EVGA SuperNOVA Series is available now at NewEgg and EVGA’s authorised retailers and comes with a 3-year warranty which I personally think is a bit low for a PSU and rings some alarm bells.
