EVGA XC Ultra Nvidia RTX 2080 Graphics Card Review

Ray Tracing

Ray Tracing

Hey, didn’t we test more cards with DXR enabled? We did indeed, but since the recent game update, we retested a few cards, and you can read that feature here. To be honest, it seems regardless of the model, ray tracing performance is almost identical on all cards of the same class; 2070/2080/2080 Ti. For this card, 1080p DXR is easy enough, even 1440p is good enough (for me), although dropping settings to medium would get you to 60 FPS. For 4K, you’ll still be wanting to invest in the Ti model.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
