Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Gets a Permanent Price Cut on PS5 and PC
Square Enix has announced that the PS5 and PC versions (Steam and Epic Games Store) of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will soon receive a permanent price cut.
The new pricing will take effect on February 9, with a reduction of $20 across editions.

Below is the full updated price list that will be active starting February 9:
- Standard Edition – $49.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition – $69.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade – $20.00
- Digital Twin Pack – $79.99
- Digital Twin Pack Deluxe Edition – $99.99
This move comes shortly after Square Enix confirmed the release dates for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. With this change, the PS5 and PC versions will match the pricing of the upcoming console releases, with the Standard Edition set at $49.99.
It is also worth noting that on both the Nintendo eShop and Xbox Store, the game will be available for pre-order at $30.99, thanks to a 20% discount that will remain active until launch.
In other news, Square Enix had planned to stop updates for Final Fantasy XI in 2024 after finishing The Voracious Resurgence story. However, due to strong player interest, the game continued to receive support.
