Since the release of the groundbreaking Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation back in 1997, the Final Fantasy series has become renowned for its breathtaking cinematic sequences, but with the release of the new Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn expansion, Heavensward, Square Enix has outdone itself.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida revealed the opening cutscene on the latest Letter from the Producer Live video podcast. The scene acts as a bridge between the end of 2.X and the new Ishgard storyline of Heavensward.
