Images of the new GIGABYTE Aorus branded Z370 series motherboards have surfaced recently, so let’s have a look at these motherboards and what they have to offer. We’ll start off with the Z370 Gaming 3 and Aorus Z370 Gaming K3. Both of these boards are similar in terms of aesthetics and specs. However, the onboard Gigabit Ethernet controller is different on each. The Gaming K3 has a Killer E2500 controller, while the Gaming 3 comes with the Intel i219-V. Both feature just one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot complemented by an electrical x4 slot wired to the PCH. The audio output is ensured by a Realtek ALC1220 (120 dBA SNR) CODEC. There’s also a single headphones amp circuit, as well as audio-grade capacitors and ground-layer isolation.
The Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming is a bit more complex. It boasts two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots for multi-GPU setups, as well as an eye-catching I/O shroud. Even better is the Gaming 5, though, which impresses with a stronger CPU VRM. This model also comes with better onboard audio, three M.2 slots, 802.11 ac + Bluetooth WLAN, and more USB 3.1 ports. Those of you looking for the best of the best will likely be interested in the Z370 Gaming 7. This motherboard includes Gigabyte’s highest-grade onboard audio solution, as well as two gigabit Ethernet interfaces (Intel + Killer). We should also mention the ESS Sabre AMP and M.2 SSD heatsinks, as well as the reinforcement braces that cover more slots. It’s worth noting that the orange LEDs can be swapped with other colors or just turned off completely. The Aorus Z370 motherboards are compatible with Intel’s LGA 1151 socket.
