I completely forgot that this movie was being made, it seems every year there are a bunch of crazy announcements for sequels to old movies and generally only a handful see the light of day. Fortunately, it looks like the people behind the new Mad Max stuck to their word and this weekend the new trailer for their upcoming movie was played to the crowd at Comic-Con.
I loved the original Mad Max movies when I was younger, they we’re pretty low-budget films, but they’ve earned a solid cult status regardless and now that they’re back with a bigger budget, the series is looking better than ever. Titled Mad Max: Fury Road, the trailer shows the usual excessively violence as drivers try rip each other to pieces in the never-ending scavenger hunt of a post apocalyptic world.
The creator of the original trilogy is on board for the new movie too, so even with a bigger budget and modern special effects it doesn’t look like the movie has lost any of its original charm. Now we just have to wait until next year to find out if its really any good!
There’s plenty of violence and gore in the trailer, so may not be safe for work, unless your boss is a fan of the original movies of course.
