The Zowie Gear: Hammer is the cheapest headset in this list, and while some may be put off by the low price this is still one of the best headsets I’ve ever tested and it is aimed right at the headset of the eSports and pro gaming community. While it doesn’t boast the best sound on the market, in fact the bass response is a bit dull and the treble is a little high in my opinion! But when your gaming it does sound pretty decent and the slightly hollow sound is something that often benefits online FPS gaming as this helps you hear the footsteps of your enemies better, where most headsets push the bass up to increase immersion.
It’s also the most durable headset we’ve tested and because of its simple design it’s also easy to transport and extremely light. The microphone is great quality too and while it all looks a little back to basics, that was Zowie’s intention when designing it, stick with the basics and there is less to go wrong!
The Zowie is available from online retailers for around £35
