Five Ryzen 9000 CPUs Reportedly Failed on ASRock Motherboards in a Single Day

ASRock motherboards have been linked to problems with AMD processors for some time now. What makes the situation more serious is that five Ryzen 9000 CPUs reportedly failed on the same day, all while being used on ASRock boards.

Multiple Ryzen 9000 CPUs Reportedly Failed in One Day

Despite similar reports appearing over the past few months, Wccftech recently gathered several cases that all happened within a single day. All of them were shared on Reddit and followed the same pattern: an ASRock motherboard paired with a Ryzen 9000 processor.

Notably, these reports came from the ASRock subreddit, which suggests the issue may be more widespread among specific models. The first case was reported by u/RobotRollCall24, who was using an ASRock B850 Pro-A motherboard. Even after updating the BIOS to version 4.03, the user’s Ryzen 5 9600X completely stopped working.

Similar outcomes were reported by u/jesseleh and u/swissWerwolf, both using a Ryzen 7 9700X. The first user said the CPU died after trying every possible fix on an ASRock B850M-X, encountering CPU and DRAM debug LED errors. The second user faced the same LED issue on an ASRock X870 Pro RS.

The fourth report came from u/Evening_Calender_331, whose Ryzen 7 9800X3D failed while installed on an ASRock X870E Taichi. Problems started shortly after updating the BIOS to version 4.03, and further updates did not solve the issue.

The fifth and final case involved u/tminx49, who reported that their Ryzen 9 9950X3D stopped working on an ASRock X870E Nova WiFi motherboard. When entering the BIOS, the system showed an error code “00”, which usually confirms that the CPU is completely dead.

For now, neither ASRock nor AMD has issued an official statement addressing these specific cases. However, the growing number of reports is raising concern among users planning to pair Ryzen 9000 CPUs with ASRock motherboards.
