FORCE GC300 WIRELESS Controller Review

FORCE GC300 WIRELESS Controller Review

There’s a lot of demand for a quality gaming controller, and while Xbox and PlayStation certainly have the bulk of the market, there are some really competitive options from other brands, such as MSI! With their new FORCE GC300 WIRELESS engineered for gamers who demand accuracy and comfort, they certainly have a strong contender. This controller integrates advanced features, such as 2-level Hall effect triggers that provide more precise control and improved reliability. This is complemented by two strategically placed rear buttons, which are fully programmable to give you even more options for how you play your favourite titles.

FORCE GC300 WIRELESS

The GC300 WIRELESS comes equipped with dual vibration motors for haptic feedback, anti-slip textured grips, an improved ergonomic design, 20 hours of uninterrupted wireless gameplay thanks to its USB-C rechargeable built-in battery and bundled USB dongle for 2.4 GHz wireless, but it can be used via Bluetooth and via USB-C too. The switches are rated for millions of clicks too, so it’s doing everything right on paper to be a competitive option for those who game extensively. Of course, it’s a very competitive market right now, so I’m eager to put this one through its paces to see how it holds up against my own extensive collection of controllers, such as the PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox (a few gens), 8BitDo, TurtleBeach, Steam Controller, and a whole bunch more that I use regularly, as I play a lot of different systems.

Key Features

  • Advanced Analogue Thumbsticks: Designed for continuous, smooth manoeuvres with responsive, precise accuracy.
  • 2-level Hall Effect Triggers: Superior accuracy & responsiveness, adapting from light taps to full pulls for various game needs.
  • 2 Ergonomic Rear Buttons: Remappable rear buttons for optimal efficiency and rapid response, enhancing complex command execution.
  • Dynamic Haptic Feedback: 2 vibration motors provide real-time sensory input, immersing gamers in tactile feedback for a more realistic experience.
  • Comfy Non-stop Gaming: Uninterrupted, fatigue-free gaming with an anti-slip grip for up to 20 hours, accommodating various hand shapes in a lightweight 230g design.
  • Long-Lasting Companion: Switches rated for millions of clicks ensure durable, consistent responsiveness for intense gaming sessions.
  • MSI Centre Software: Maximise gaming potential by customising controller settings, including trigger configuration and rear button mapping, for precise control.

With its comprehensive connectivity over 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C, it’s ticking all the right boxes. Plus, it supports MSI Centre software, allowing you to dive deeper into the settings for trigger customisation, rear button mapping, and fine-tuning responses and calibration. I like little details like this, as they can give you a performance edge your competitors may not have.
